Two Brown Surgical Associates surgeons have recently been recognized for their contributions to the world of academia. Both Charles Adams, MD and Theresa Graves, MD have been approved for promotions at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, effective July 1, 2021.
Dr. Charles Adams has been promoted to Professor of Surgery, Teaching Scholar. His exceptional teaching skills, leadership in educational programs on a local, regional and national level, and his national reputation in his area of expertise easily qualified Dr. Adams for this monumental achievement.
Dr. Theresa Graves has been promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery, Clinician Educator. This promotion recognizes Dr. Graves’ involvement in teaching, advising, and mentoring medical students and residents not only in the Department of Surgery but also in many subspecialties in the area of breast health, as well as her regional reputation noted by her peers as transforming breast health and breast care in Rhode Island.
