Dr. Abbas El-Sayed Abbas, chief of thoracic surgery at Brown Surgical Associates, recently returned from Boston where he co-chaired the Thoracic Surgery Program of the “21 ISMICS Reimagined Meeting” of the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, the premier association focusing on minimally invasive surgery for both thoracic and cardiovascular disease.
It was a spectacularly successful three-day conference of comprehensive online education, focused interactive discussion with world-renowned faculty, and panel commentary by him and other key ISMICS leaders live from the broadcast studios.
Dr. Abbas participated in hosting several renowned guests including the Marshal of the Polish Senate, Dr. Tomasz Grodzki, and the famous Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Lech Walesa.
