Katherine A. Baysinger, M.D., FACS is a surgeon who specializes in colorectal surgery.
Dr. Baysinger was recently a member of Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates in Augusta, Georgia. She earned her medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and went on to do her internship and residency in general surgery at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. This was followed by a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas at Houston. Her clinical interests are in robotic surgery in the treatment of rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders in women, quality improvement, and a commitment to resident education.
